Anisa Makhoul is an artist living and working in a treehouse in the old-growth forest in Oregon. Her work is shaped by themes of home, beauty, comfort, magic and liberation. She makes art that’s meant to live with people. She believes everyone deserves beauty in their home, not as a luxury, but as something grounding, sustaining, and quietly powerful. Her images are often whimsical and magical, using familiar symbols and warm color to create a sense of ease and belonging. The work exists first as art. Prints, stickers, and mugs are simply ways the work moves around the world. At its heart, her work is about creating small moments of comfort and freedom, art that feels like home.
