So, what are Slow Goods?

At Shop Lyko we believe that we can change our world by how we consume - and the world we hope to see is wild, unpolluted, nourished.  

We tap into the broader movement for a slower, more mindful life by stocking ecologically-responsible & ethically-produced goods crafted by companies that prioritize people & planet - Slow Goods.

We originally coined the phrase as part of our name in 2021 to describe the low-impact dry goods we sell. We were inspired by Portland’s popular farm-to-table, Slow Food movement, as well as the Slow Fashion movement.  We thought the term needed to exist, so we put it on our door and explained it to everyone who asked.  They got it because the idea was already out there, it just needed a good name.
