This is vintage terra cotta tone, jacquard-woven rayon jacket designed by Herbert Kasper for Joan Leslie. Joan Leslie was a higher-priced line for Leslie Fay. Herbert Kasper joined Leslie Fay in 1965 to design the "by Kasper" line. This jacket is almost certainly from 1974-75 because the Union Label within dates it post 1974, while Kasper left Leslie Fay in 1975.
The jacquard textile has a tonal dot weave structure with a painterly lollipop floral repeat in sky blue, peach and tangerine, then was over-quilted in a peach stitch. It is fully lined, button-front jacket with a mandarin-style collar & pockets.
